
On March 19, the Retail & Hospitality Sector Partnership facilitated by the Pikes Peak Workforce hosted the first Hospitality Speed Networking Night at Cheyenne Mountain Resort.


Around 60 attendees from the hospitality industry including representatives from the Pikes Peak Lodging Asssociation along with 15 properties, including top Colorado Springs hotels: the luxurious Garden of the Gods Resort, the sleek Hotel Polaris, host Cheyenne Mountain Resort, the iconic Broadmoor, the family-friendly Great Wolf Lodge, the unique Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort, Cripple Creek's newest resort casino Chamonix, the upscale Lodge at Flying Horse, the fabulous Picnic Basket Catering and locally owned South Park Brewing.

Seven properties set up tables showcasing departments like Sales and Marketing, Spa Services, Recreation, Facilities, Front Desk, Housekeeping, Human Resources, Catering and Food & Beverage. The crowd included industry pros, adult education students, Pikes Peak Workforce Center members, Visit COS staff, and people exploring hospitality careers.


Connections sparked throughout the evening, fueled by appetizers and desserts sponsored by Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Donations and cans were also collected for the Care & Share Food Bank.

The event highlighted career opportunities in the Pikes Peak hospitality scene, setting the stage for more to come.
