The Pikes Peak Lodging Association was proud to support and sponsor the Visit Colorado Springs Annual Tourism Awards & Celebration last night at the Garden Of The Gods Resort. The evening was a who's who in the tourism and hospitality and the dress was cocktail attire with a celestial twist of starry details, shimmering fabrics, and cosmic hues—perfect for a night of starlit celebration. The Three Graces Pool, Patio and Ballroom were the perfect backdrop for the evening. The evening featured the annual awards and music by the Colorado Springs Conservatory and Icons along with fabulous food including glazed salmon, pastas and a giant gumbo skillet along with a variety of delicious dessert samples. With a Pikes Peak Lemon-Aid concoction prepared by none other than Broadmoor GM & PPLA Board President Ann Alba herself, the PPLA Board served up shotskis on the 17th hole at the Colorado Hotel and Lodging Association conference at the Broadmoor on Sunday. The PPLA hole was definitely a hit with the golfers, before the tournament was rained out. Our team wore our new Colorado Springs resort shirts featuring local landmarks and lodging properties, including the Broadmoor and the Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. Sales from the custom shirts benefit local trail building nonprofit Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates. medwheel.org
